The Solar Collection Plant
The world's largest solar collector plant has an area of 18,365
m2 and covers 30 % of the heating requirement in Marstal. This
means that approximately 600 homes are heated exclusively by solar
energy all year round. Each year the solar heating plant saves
Marstal a consumption of 800,000 litres of oil. Tours of the plant
for groups up to 25 people can be arranged.
